Its late so i'm going to make this quick

first thing.

I WALKED TO WORK TODAY
DOWN THE .9MILES TO THE STATION
ON THE SUBWAY ACROSS TOWN
AND OVER THE OVERPASS TO WORK
ALL THE WHILE MUNCHING ON CHEERIOS
YEAH THATS RIGHT CHEERIOS
RIGHT FROM THE BOX
AND NOT A SMALL BOX
A BIG BOX
YOU WOULDNT BELIEVE... THE AMOUNT OF PEOPLE
WHO WILL GIVE YOU THE WIERDEST FACES
THAT YOU WOULDNT BELIEVE
WHEN THEY SEE YOU WALKING AROUNG WITH THIS GIANT BOX OF CHEERIOS
ITS ACTUALLY REALLY FUNNY THO

i want to share an experience that i had at the end of my shift

So its like 5:25 and we get a call from someone who bought a computer yesterday and is having problems getting the initial setup taken care of and getting the computer working. i didnt answer the phone, i was actualy supposed to get it but they dropped the call, when they called back they wanted someone who spoke spanish, so we had our spanish girl talk to her. and so i'm there next to her trying to answer questions second hand second language about an issue that is specific and that i cannot fully understand without SEEing. but i try and suggest some things, and i have her ask the [i didnt know at the time, but] lady on the phone some clarifying questions. and so well... i eventually got to the point where i figured ... okay, have them bring it in if they're not too far away to travel and i'll take a look at it. they said okay and that they'd be here in a half hour. well... half hour at this point would be about 4 minutes after 6 [and in case u dont rememeber ... i get off work at 6]. but i figure that its okay, it wont take long and that it'll be an easy fix. well 6:05 rolls around. and then 6:10 and by 6:13 i say okay i'm leaving. go and get my stuff and walk to the front, i tell brett that i'm leaving unless they show up in 60 seconds between here and the door. he said okay have a good night. well i go and clock out at 6:16 and say goodnight over the radios and walk outside. turn and look and see a lady with a laptop box and two kids with her. i turn around and go back inside. tell everyone i'm back, and clock back in at 6:17. so i meet this customer, tell them that i'll take a look at it. and i was suprised that the mom spoke any english, i was thinking that she didnt speak any and that was why we were having problems. so well anyways. i go over to the furniture pad and sit down and tell them to feel free to pull up a chair and i'll see what i can do. so i turn it on and it starts and then i get an error message something to the effect of "windows couldnt install properly, and install needs to be restarted" and u push okay and it looks like it might do something. then it shuts off, turns on and says the same thing. so i hold the window key when i push okay and hold it while it turns on and nothing. so i push okay and then as its turning back on i hit f1 f2 f3 f4 f5 f6 f7 f8 f9 f10 f11 f12. and i think that f8 or f10 was the one i needed but either way i got to a menu thing that was all like "sony restore" or something and i'm like SCORE! so i click, restore computer. restore to factory settings. are u sure that u want to do this? will reformat harddrive and re install windows. i say okay. thinking oh this shouldnt take too long. there's nothing on this harddrive right? so i'm like yeah its going . i say 15 minutes. no problem. so i go with the little girl she's [10?] and we look at printers for a minute and then come back and its still going. and then its done. but oh wait that was something else. now its really doing the reinstall. and i'm thinking oh no problem. not too long. but if it is i'll clock out and so i told brett i'd do that and he's all nah why? and i was like uh cuz i'm not a certified technician and we have ctrl ppl who do this and cuz by me doing this for free we are losing the ctrl sale. [basically trying to cover my butt in case mark gets mad about it, cuz i had no issues fixing the computer] and so anyways he's like whatever do what u want. so the mom the two little girls and i move over to the other side of the furniture pad and are waiting for this thing to finish. and i'm talking with the mom and she's telling me about life. and i'm talking with the little girl [10] and she's telling me about school and learing and stuff. and all the while watching the other little girl [6? 7?] play around on the chair getting ADD like any other kindergardner and after a while they get hungry and go buy a pop and some jerky and idk. we were sitting there a good hour or so. i clocked OFF at 7:13 [cuz i felt guilty about but sitting there not really doing a whole lot] but still sat and waited with them and the two girls, oh man i'll never forget how BEAUTIFUL thier eyes were. blue and green , but both had mixes of both and idk just so amazing. and so the mother told me about grandma and how she had blue eyes cuz she was white and thats who gave the eyes to them and all this stuff and the littlest girl gosh she was so silly playing on the drafting stool which is 5 times as tall as any other chair. and she'd have it low and pull the thing and ride it to the top cuz she was so light. and so anyways i'm sitting there and chatting away and it finishes, but then we have to finaly start the REAL setup, like it should have been when they first turned it on. the username and such stuff. and so whatever. Claudia. that was the older girl's name. but i got out of there at 7:45.

uh. so i had one more small experience with a homeless looking guy
that wasnt homeless
that i was going to share in detail but
i dont have time
so just a realy quick overview that might not make sense
so this guy had flowers in his backpack
and i'm walking behind him
and i tell him they're falling out
and he says thanks
and working sales all day i hadnt switched back to civilian mode
so i asked him follow up / repoire quesions
"who are the flowers for?"
"Where ya headed?"
and such.
and we chatted about boston
and oregon
and cops
and traffic officers
cuz they are different
and the economy
and stupid laws
and being nice to people
and anyways that was that guy

so blahblahblah i come home
and get online
and i met some new ppl today
and i realized that i want to consider DJTLaC a friend
like a real friend, not just an internet buddy
cuz he lives in boston somwhere not too far from the braintree station
[braintree is the furthest one out on the redline]
and so anyways we might vid collab sometime
and that'd be cool
but sigh i'm going to bed now

Temple trip tomorrow?

i want to start reading my scriputres in the mornings
but
i'm always so tired!
i didnt even shower today cuz i decided to have an extra 15 min of sleep
