So, i want to preface this mini story with a disclaimer. I KNOW THAT I HAVE MANBOOBS! ok i could go on a diet, i COULD excersize ... whatever... i KNOW this. thanks.

Today at work in walked a REALLY strange lady. and she was really creepy too. dyed black hair straight down both sides, Samara from the Ring style. and she twitched every once in a while. and was just flat out weird. the worst was cuz she constantly would stare straight at my boobs! HELLO!!! MY EYES ARE UP HERE!!! and this wasnt just a sly casual chit chat... i talked with her for probably an hour or so in the computer department, and i guess my breasts were just exceptionally perky or something ... but it made me really uncomfortable...

Now i know how girls must feel sometimes...

So guys out there need to remember that its proper to look the persons in the eyes. otherwise they may get really uncomfortable :/

Sunday today was good. church went well, and we stayed afterward cuz everyone has to be in the ward choir, it was okay though cuz i actually dont think i sounded super bad at all... welll not as bad as the guy next to me.. ok maybe as bad as him, but at least i wasnt the only one!

And then i get home and i think that that pizza i ate (leftovers) was bad, cuz now my tummy hurts. so i napped a lil on the couch after eating and making two Vlogs. and then my family came home and i watched "Fires of Faith" on ByuTv which is about the coming forth of the King James Version of the bible. it was really informative... i wish i could have paid more attention to it to actually have learned something. but i got that tyndale was running all over europe and i also got that the bible was translated into other languages but not english? that was a bad thing .. ? idk. anyways. so the next two weeks i get to confuse myself some more (this was part one of a three part series)

And then i went to Jason's house and we had game night. that was fun. and the cute girl i met that i met for the first time a few weeks ago was there .. :) ... but of course i'm too much of a chicken so i didnt say anything ... Sigh.. she's probably already seeing someone. but gah , its not like i just want to talk to her so i can date her, but i want to be friends (duh, friends first.. then best friends.. then best friends for eternity..) but i'm too chicken to even make the step from "aquaintance" to "friend" .. :(

Anyways. so game night was amazing.
now i'm listening to taylor swift whilst i'm writing this and i'm about to conk out and go to bed :)_

Just having a hard time getting myself addicted to blogger, twitter, facebook, dailybooth, and youtube again

I think that maybe i'm just doing a terrible job getting readjusted to the post- mission life...
Its hard for me to think that i was able to talk to so many complete strangers for two years and go into thier houses and testify with boldness and now its hard for me to even tell a girl i think she's cute. Sigh...
post mission life isnt going exactly as i had planned... in fact ... pretty much nothing that i had planned is going through . haha. well ... the get a job to buy the three things i missed the most (material things i missed) that worked out... but a phone, camera, and laptop isnt happiness, its a mode of entertainment which makes me momentarily happy,, .. but where is my happy ending? where is my college, my smoking hot wife , my adventures.

One of my dear friends from Boston wrote a note about where she stands and her feelings on spirituality and organized religion, as a response to a conversation she had with some friends on the subway. here is my response before i lost my train of thought.

"I too have a great love for my Heavenly Father and I can't wait to get out there to the people of Honduras and tell them all about it! Some people are lost in a hallway full of doors, and they aren't sure which one to open, and I will be blessed with the privilege of showing them the door to Christ their redeemer and helping them receive Him in their lives.

As far as Organization goes, I'm not sure which way my opinion will be taken to anyone, but just as my opinion. God's house is a house of order. All men are invited to come unto Christ and to return to live with our Father in Heaven. But we cannot do this alone, without the organization, and the sacred ordinances, one cannot enter into the Celestial kingdom.

I'm not perfect, i'm far from it. And I don't know alot of things. but i'm learning, and i know that it is not up to me to reach some unreachable standard, but it is up to me to reach for it, to do my very best. "

Tomorrow I'm going to the Temple. There I will make more sacred promises to my Father in Heaven and other things too sacred to talk about outside the walls of the temple.
But i'm greatly looking forward to it. To continuing in the faith with this next step I need to take to prepare myself to one day dwell in the presence of the everlasting God of all things both in Heaven and in Earth. Very excited !

Hopefully grandma will be feeling up to making the trip. I'd really like to share this experience with as much of my family as I can.

it's been a while...

Sorry it's been so long since I've last updated, I guess I'd just been pretty busy with things. I've been working a lot of hours at OfficeMax, and it seems like every day I help babysit the kids. I love helping babysit them, but sometimes it just gets really ridiculous. Not even 19 yet. I'm not meant to change poopy diapers or feed 3 mouths I like being an uncle. Sometimes it feels like I'm doing more than an uncle supposed to be doing.

So I got the mission papers all filled out and turned in, Bishop's interview out of the way, and on Sunday I met with the stake president. It should be all set to go to get the Melchizedek priesthood pretty soon now. I think Pres. Cryer has turned in the papers to Salt Lake. So now all I have to do is wait, and continue to prepare. I can't wait to get out there and be working helping people for greater reasons than just my own benefit. I can't wait to wake up in the morning and know that I'm going to be serving the Lord. And that my whole day will not be about myself. I can't wait to go somewhere new, try new things, meet new people and just not have to deal with the drama of the life as an 18-year-old kid working at OfficeMax. Not going to college brings. You wouldn't think if my whole life is poopy diapers and OfficeMax that I could be overwhelmed with drama, or even feel slightly stressed... but sometimes it's just so crazy that you don't know if you can take this kind of life anymore. I'm just so ready for a change. I remember when Tim and Matt went on their missions. I was about 11 or 12 at the time and looking at my older brothers, they seemed at least more grown-up than I feel right now to me on still just an 18-year-old kid going on 19. I want to help people who want to be part of something. I just don't know how ready I am. I have a testimony, and I pray, but even with free time. I can't seem to make time for reading my Scriptures or studying the "Preach My Gospel" book I guess it's one of those things that I need to work on.

I feel trapped in something that is pretty much the same thing every day help babysit, and I drive to work, and as I'm driving I see all these people that have places to go things to do but always seem like they're in such a rush to get somewhere or do something. It really agitates me to have reckless drivers on the road just to get ahead 30 seconds. Wow! Good Freaking Job! Way to Just about Killed Me to Get Ahead 30 Freaking Seconds! And then I get to work and I have new goals in front of me, things I'm supposed to be doing that day. But yet, the day is always the same. I sell stuff. I make people buy stuff. I straighten stuff. Put stuff up and take stuff down. And even though my performance is better than most, I still feel like I'm not doing enough. Sometimes I get customers that come to me with a real problem. And I am able to get them exactly what they need, figure out exactly the solution for their problem and just for a moment seen the smile on their face get to feel like my job is truly worth something.

I know that sounds kind of retarded, but that's really how I feel. That's how I was raised, was to help people. I've always been helping people, and yeah there's times where Nathan needs to help himself, but most of the time, okay well some of the time, I am only truly happy when I am helping someone else. When I realize that there is nothing I can do to help someone, I think a little part of me brakes.

This is where I think my day today interactions come into play. I see homeless people on the side of the street, I hope customers that have no money, children who are given $.50 not enough money to buy a binder so that they can have it at school, teachers who have to spend their own money because they're not getting enough from the state from the government. A few friends, I see family, and coworkers, ... and all the little problems that they have, with each other, with the world, with whatever situation they are in. And often times it pains me to see them argue, to see them struggle, to see their good intentions, to see that we are all sons and daughters, Children of God. But there's still not a whole lot that I can do to help them.

I want to help people be better.

I want to help people help each other to be better.

I want to help myself be better.

What happened to doing our best to do our duty to God and our country?

Good. Better. Best.

I want to do my best to help each other do their best.

Not always easy to accomplish a certain goal. But it's not our duty to accomplish the goal start duty to do our best.

God commanded the man to go out every day and push upon a big rock.

Every day for many years the man pushed on the rock. And never moved it. Many years later seeing that all his pushing never amounted to the rock moving, he cried unto the Lord and was discouraged because he couldn't move the rock, disappointed in himself that he wasn't able to do something.

And the Lord told him, look upon thyself how strong you have become in all these many years still pushing on the rock so faithfully. Thou hast done well.

And the man answered that he still felt awful he couldn't move the rock.

But the Lord told him, I never commanded that you should move the rock, just that you should push.

The man was never able to move the rock, but according to his faith he did his best to fulfill the commandment and pushed on the rock.

Do your duty that is best, and to God leave the rest.

It is that simple.

The economy will not change overnight. And situations will not change overnight.

But. They. Will.

Just have faith.

Now. Go, and SMILE!

The time is drawing nearer

Its been a while since i've updated i know

i'm sorry

so i guess i'll do all the boring update stuff before i jump into anything reall all that exciting.

Got my job back at office max and i've been working 20-30 hours or so a week.

which has been nice. and so i'm getting more money to add to my mission fund which is much needed.

I started my mission papers and after my dentist appointment i think i should be able to have my interviews or something and get them turned in.

I made some goals, and for the most part i'm doing a good job at keepin with them.

like reading my scriptures and praying every night.

it has really started making a difference inside me.

i got called to be a branch missionary.

but mostly i've just been working, practicing cantonese, missing my boston, hanging out with friends and just kinda not really doing anything special.

i really wanna do something like way fun.

go drive somewhere

or skydive or something

so needless to say, there's a part of me looking forward to a mission just to have a new experience away from it all in some unknown place in some foreign language.

but dont worry. most of me is excited to serve the Lord in His vineyard and to bring others by means of the spirit to His fold.

my goal is simple there. have everything all turned in and ready to go before my birthday

march 27th

it should be easy enough.

the way things are going now everything should be good to go by early march

O.o yeah i got glasses, so now maybe i'll take out my contacts more often so in case i run out of time to put them in or my eyes just dont want them i can just wear glasses.

well, okay. so i'll just have to re commit myself to blogging more often.

it seems a several ppl keep bugging me about it.

but for now this is all, i'm going to work soon, so ttyl.

It snowed again today. Chinese character Study is going Well i think. Lots of symbols Are sticking out more and More and lots Are comprised of certain same strokes within the symbol as a whole its really neat. I'm keeping with most My goals still pretty Well . The hardest as I'd assumed is My early to bed early to rise goal. But i will get there. I felt inspired today to sometime in the Near future invite a friend of Mine to read the book of mormon and to join me at some Church activities. I'm not Sure why tho. He's pretty devout in his faith. Hmm. I Guess we'll See what comes of It when the time is right. Best of luck to everyone. And stay safe on those slippery roads. I got My car started ! Also today i went to north and saw some old underclassmen buds of Mine and some of My favorite teachers. And My favorite custodian and person at the school June . :-p She's so funny. Hmm i'm Actually pretty tired tonight. Its before midnight ! Yay ! I'm so proud ! I'm keeping to My goals and practically meeting all of them. I'm so glad. Well. Ttyl nite nite.

Today i had a Super Great breakfast Mmm. =] and then we went and got our christmas tree . And then i Came home and Eventually went over to Jeff's house and we played games and did Geek stuff with the computers. When i got home again. I Eventually read in alma 32 . And then Eventually decided on verse Twenty one as My tuesday book of mormon into chinese character Writing practice verse. I think i did Well. And i'm excited for thursday to do another verse. Its Only one o'clock. So still not quite perfect on My goal of midnight. But i'm getting Close. :) Hmm. Hopefully tomorrow will be a good day as Well. The roads Are still very very icy. Aw But i miss My car. .

Third day back

Last night i volunteered to baby Sit Josephine and that meant that today we got all the kids. Which i am kinda glad about - i Missed these little boogers so much! And i got to Bench press them and hug them and wrestle and Aw i just was so glad to get to spend time with them.
Also today, i started back at Office max. Which i realize Now i'm so Mad cuz i Missed a Super Great fhe . Grr. And so i got stuck on freight cuz Thats the Only thing they could give me. Then i realized they schedualed me to help set next weeks ad saturday night. Kristina's hot chocolate party. And Well i really want to go. But Since It Looks like i probably won't be able to then i will "happy day" It as a good opportunity to not See ppl Who don't really care about me. And ppl Who aren't really My Friends. Even tho some ppl going Are My Friends. Guess what. We can always Hang out.
I Also got around to setting new goals for myself and i'm so excited for everything coming up. Wish i could right more. I'm off. Nite.

Just taking a quick moment to catch my breath
and try to wrap my head around EVERYTHING.
I leave this house i've called a home for 101 days now
in less than an hour
and up till ten seconds ago when i called them
i felt way stressed about the flight
i just finished packing ... kinda
i will be wearing SEVERAL layers of sweatshirts on the plane
i'm packed to the max

So, Last night after my blog i realized that i had to go hometeaching at 6:30, so i left immediately (giving me 2 hours or so) to take pictures in and around the Malden area. i saw that there was an Reservoir or something not too far away from Neil's house so i decided that was where i wanted to head. Well needless to say... it was dark. too dark to take pictures like crazy like i wanted so i decided that i would only try a couple night time shots. and then stopped off the side of a highway on some rock facings and read over my hometeaching message. I finished reading and realized i was insanely hungry. so (still being incredibly too early for Hometeaching) i walked back in toward Malden/Oak Grove to find something to eat. At this time Emallie had txt me back(cuz she lives near there so i wanted to see if we could hang out) and said she wasnt doing anything at all tonight(yesterday) and that if i was hungry i should go over and have some food she was making spaghetti! so i told her i'd be over after i was done hometeaching. and headed toward Neil's place early hoping i could give him a call and he'd be okay with me going early . well he wasnt home yet, but almost. so i sat down with him and we chit chatted a bit, he is working at office max now and so was giving me the latest gossip and stuff (:P) and then i shared the lesson. Ah! I just love when i get actively involved with hometeaching. i never really got excited about it till i came out here. and now i have such a strong testimony of hometeaching and hometeachers. man! So then i left and called Emallie and she told me she'd pick me up from the Malden center stop. which was the next one down. She had some delicious spaghetti waiting for me. and then we sat with Jen her sister and watched some medicla mysteries. Decided somehow that we should just rent a movie and some snacks and headed out to Hollywood. We arrived at Hollywood and began searching for something good that wasn't Rated "R" that neither of us had seen. we almost went with journey to the center of the earth when i stated. how bout we watch a sequence movie. like final destination, or ocean's . and we agreed that it'd be cool but what to see? i noticed a couple out of the corner of my eye grab a DarkKnight movie. and Emallie and I eventually made our way down there and saw that someone had left some of the other Batman movies there also. we quickly determined that we would have a batman marathon with a brief conversation that went something like this "wait. no. can we?" uh chyeah why not?" "you dont work?" "nah" "all night" "for shizzle" "lets do it" haha and so we grabbed each of the copies we saw and remembered we needed. and then inquired the cashier lady named ... Donna. which order they went in. and feeling like we were missing one i said something about batman forever. but they sent me to the wall. and we were actually missing the first one. just "Batman" (even tho this whole time we were missing Batman forever also) so we went across the street to stop and shop and bought some popcorn and some oreos and headed back to the house. Popped in "Batman" at exactly 9:53pm and our marathon began. we ate so much popcorn in the first movie, and the second one "Batman Returns" both dating early 90's (1989 and 1992 to be exact) and the technology manifested itself in that manner. we were getting pretty tired but kept each other awake enough to realize shortly after starting our Third movie "Batman and Robin" that we were missing one. so we had to waste some time trying to find it online somewhere to watch "Batman Forever" without dowloading it. and well... couldnt find one. so we downloaded it. and watched it after "Batman and Robin" By now its early morning. two movies left. and we are semi struggling to stay awake. but we watched the last two "Batman Begins" and then "Dark Knight" and had breakfast inbetween, finally finished at exactly 1:05pm ... so our marathon with a short search for the missing movie break and short breakfast break/ nap all lasted about 14 hours and 12 minutes give or take. haha it was great fun. i loved seeing the evolution of the Batman and spending time with a friend before i leave for home. -- i got my lens today. and i love it! i can't wait to get to try it out . i kinda wish i had a digital camera . but oh well. uh. and now i'm waiting for Kristal to let me know if we are going to go iceskating tonight or tomorrow or what. and for institute to start at 7. today it got past 64 degrees! and when i was walking home it was raining ah i love it!

So i tried to start packing ...

and i have no idea if all my stuff is going to fit in my suitcases

so i guess i should try and get packing done before the night before my departure

in case i need to figure out some other way to get my stuff home

or to buy a cheap suitcase

or dufflebag idk

but chances are i'm going to wait till the last minute and start packing friday night

after all... i only have less than 4 whole days left in boston

I think that i get to go back to the temple some time before i leave

wednesday or thursday

and then go iceskating!

i wanna go out and take pictures right now cuz its ONLY 40 degrees outside

about the same as it is in Eugene

but i'm not sure what more there is to take pictures of

the spanish child sees "CAT" and thinks Gato. and can ask. Como se dice?

but for me. i see 性状 and i try to copy them like that.

and in my mind i can say. ok this means this in english. but i dont know the Chinese words for them

so alas its going good but i'm not sure how effective it is.

I got my adapter today for my phone from china.

so that i can plug a normal pair of headpones into my phone to listen to music

I have alot to do but i still need to kinda whatever document that this happened before the weekend and i have more stuff to talk about...

SO ... see that tall building? Pretty much that's called the Prudential Tower.

Night 91 i went inside it and didnt get to see hardly anything cuz i wasnt eating and i wasnt a part of the gay party that was going on so i didnt get to really see much. WELL...

Day 92 . I WENT INSIDE IT AGAIN.

52 Stories up. and had lunch/Desert.

BUT MY FAVORITE part about getting to go up there. .. was i went early enough i didn't need a reservation, and late enough that the night began to fall ...

My food came. I ordered The Panini, but they couldn't take off the stuff i didnt like cuz it was mixed in, so i ordered a Tenderloin Sandwich on Foccacia. (i have leftovers =] )

I was suprised at how much i liked it! the only thing i didnt like. ok well two things.

1. NO REAL RANCH DRESSING FOR MY FRIES! so i had the very attractive waitress give me some ... other something i dont remember what it was. it was white anyways and didnt taste too bad.

2.about 1/2 way to 2/3 way through the sandwich it started falling apart and just became a mess. i wanted room for dessert so i asked to have the sandwich wrapped up and took a look at the desert menu.

AND THEN THE NIGHT FELL. :-D

AMAZING!

because the boston creme had alcohal in it and i didnt want elegant COOKIES ??? so i went fancy...

It was pretty good. i had never tried that before but i have heard the name. but anyways then i headed down after waiting as long as i felt i could without ppl getting mad at me while i took in the view. =]

THEN i went to see the Boston (Nova Scotia) Christmas Tree get lit up in the Boston Commons

I had never seen the subway so crowded (and it got way worse after this) that 3 ppl could fit more on each train that came by, and more than 3 ppl came down between the trains. i eventually stopped waiting and decided to just get squashed inside.

i guess getting squashed inside the train was preparing me for getting squashed at the lighting ceremony.

It was so packed that little kids had to learn to hover above the crowd in order to see!

Then Brian McKnight came on stage and everyone FrEaKeD oUt!

Okay its getting late so even tho i'm not tired i want to write a good blog but make it quick.

Things are just moving right along here in Boston. Just about everything is all planned for my Date to NYC (*note. we are in the process of determining whether its a "date" or not. ... sigh silly girls and thier MIND GAMES haha :P ) its a date. but i'm super excited either way. We've got the temple and we've got the tickets for the bus. so everything else is in place. i just need to print maps or something so we dont waste time getting lost ... at least not a LOT of time getting lost anyways. i went through that last time and it just would save time if we knew where we were going specifically and how to get there. when i went last time i was like ... ok so ... where is this? and tried asking my mother over the phone who got the privilage of learning all about google maps =] i love you mom thank you so much for that.

Right now i'm looking into an upper new york trip. Palmyra and niagra falls. and i'm going to e-mail again about DC.

Today i got my shopping done yay. look!

out of a graduating class of 214 something and a school of almost 1200 ... 4 ... thats ... 1.8% or .3% as a whole.
wow. so now let me think of the odds that that person you are having issues with will still be in your life after G day. ....
think about it.

also.. idk if this matters to many of you or not. but i noticed yesterday that i have more facebook friends than i do myspace friends...
wanna know something about that? no one talks to me on myspace cuz almost all those friends are high school friends. and facebook is where i only have a few HS peeps but mostly facebook is where the more real friends reside.
and knowing that i have more "more real" friends than i do non real ... that makes me happy. but like i've said before... i only need one friend.
and He is my best friend. how many of my other friends would give up thier lives for me? would suffer bleed and die for me?
not many. some yes i know without a doubt would. but because we're mortal, we cannot grasp our minds around how HUGE that sacrafice was that was made for me, and all of us.

Aw . :-\ so there was this little cockroach Or Big beetle down here at the subway stop just chillin crawling around Waiting for If train like everyone else. And a bunch of us stared watching him walk around and then the other train Came and ppl got off and He was almost squashed But He survived. Then we See him walk next to all our feet and by this mexican's feet. He almost Gets accidently stepped on when someone points It out to him. He Looks down. Lifts his foot. Aims and steps. Okay so just real quick before i head to bed i need to tell you about country music. tonight i mentioned to a friend that it was an exgirlfriend of mine that introduced me really to country. but now that i recall, she only RE-introduced it into my life. i think that when i did paper the route and drove places with my kendra is when i listened to it the most. and dad listened a lil bit a long time ago (when i was almost too young to remember) before he switched to oldies and spanish :P , but the one song i remember from childhood before the cowgirl was David Ball - Riding With Private Malone, and i remember talking with my father and my sister about it on two different occasions. and just how great of a man Private Andrew Malone was. how he died for his country and left one thing he loved so much behind and this man buying it for well below kbb value and on one night crashing it and being pulled out of the fire by a soldier. and we talked about spirits and the afterlife and angels. and so idk. its just kinda one of those things that are from your childhood you want to share with ppl before you forget it for good. hmmm memories are silly.

which is good that means that i wont be spending much money right?

so i'm cleaning up this room and just pretty much its a mess

will all the clothes drying everywhere

i really home matt gets that dryer thing worked out

hmm hmm hmm

and i'm getting some GREAT ideas that wont cost me a dime for Christmas presents for people

the only issue is. .. time

and so i might have to wait on those things for those two people and give them as birthday gifts

well i guess i have most of my touristy stuff done anyways

just need to hit up DC and pick up some sand and a couple little boston items

really ... its coming down to the wire now.

i leave in twenty days. three weeks from now i'll be on that plane!

and three weeks from now i'll be back in my car and in my house and my bed

yay!

but oh man i'm going to have to say goodbye to all these ppl

and gah

hard thing about going somewhere and making new friends

With the increase in electronic relationships and communications the "smiley" has become the crucial key to decoding how serious Or Mad someone Is. Things that Are said abruptly Or straightforward Or in such a way where the words can be taken the wrong way can be softened by just the little smiley. But ! Be aware ! Some ppl abuse the Smile. Put It where It doesn't belong. Say mean things and Smile Hoping to make It better. Well No . I'm Sorry. You can't just Smile and make It better. When you screw up a non face to face conversation. Then you need to resolve It face to face. Period end of story. Too many young ppl of today's generation Are missing out on the real socialness of childhood because of the lack of real face to face conversations and relations.

Anyways. A bad event didn't inspire this. A good event did Actually. I thought something was taken the wrong way with an abrupt multi meaning reply. But then Came " :)"

Day 78 (The good and the "even Though's")

Day 78

So today we had some good things

i am lazy

but i think you will still enjoy the blog through a list

so i shall list these things

and then

put in my "even though"

just because not everything that was good was completely good ya know?

anyways here it goes!

1. I made it to institute on time! even though we spent half hour not talking about the book of mormon ... 2. I made it to work on time! even though i clocked in a minute late cuz i still had to do my hair BUT! ---- 3! I noticed i lost another little bit in my waist and am down to my smallest belt hole even though i've gained a little tad in the belly 3. I ate breakfast today (cinamon roll) even though it was dry and cold-ish 4. It was sunny today even though it was freezing cold (30 deg but "felt like" 20) 5. I got to speak Cantonese today even though it was just the few phrases i know and the daughter and old lady were making fun of me. They said i didn't sound TOO bad ;-) 6. Hung out with Dario for a bit even though all we did was look through pictures online of GOW2 weapons and such 7. I washed my dark clothes! even though the rest of my room is messy enough that i dont want to try and find places to put all those clothes 8. Rob called finaly even though his car got towed. 9. I found out that i don't have to go into work on black friday till 6:30 even though i might not do any black friday shopping.

Well, that is about the extent of it. oh. pic of the day? do i have one?

Day seventy Seven arrives with No shock. I am down to My last pair of underwear. I noticed more socks. But its pretty important i do Laundry soon. Right Now i'm going on probably a week with these work pants Or more. And i'm freezing cold. I don't See anyone out here as bundled as me. And My back is still killing me so i think i'll be going to the demo massage chair in the mall after work today. I'm not broke. But If i Pay My rent then i'll be down pretty low. This experience wasn't about money. I wish It would have gone in a more positive direction But breaking even isn't too bad. So i Guess i won't be able to spend any money i make when i get to oregon. But Thats Okay. I won't need to. I'll have Food and rent taken care of . Okay going on train Now. Bye

And i'm Thinking Uh any software will print that size But Since its an official thing you might need to do It at a post Office o something. & She's like Well i just think i'm going to need It for longer than Once. & i'm like Well we don't have any.& then i was trying to make a funny and was like so how many illegal passports Are you planning on printing? & She's like what? Im like the kind of software youre looking for wont be sold in a store. Are u engaged in illegal activity? & she freaked out on me But before i could explain that i was trying to be funny she ran

Well its been a while since i've posted a real long in depth post so i thought that i'd make a nice long one and recount some things that have been goings on recently in the crazy life of Nathan.
so i guess i'll start most recent and then work my way backwords.
TODAY:
just now after trying FOREVER to get this Designjet HUGE wide format printer of Rob's working, i finally got it! The computer didn't want to recognize the printer and then it didnt want to install the driver and then it didnt want to align the paper and blah blah blah it prints now.
=]
uh. ok so this morning i got up for church only a little late,
and Rob came by with the car so i could take it to church,
WELL, if i had found a close parking place, i might have made it on time for the sacrament, but i wasnt on time. so i missed taking the sacrament, well its okay cuz at least i was there for the rest of the talks. AND well okay this directly leads into the next story.
because i was late i decided to just wait out in the foyer area, and well after the meeting we always have our announcements, so while the annuncements were going i felt this was an okay time to get my tithing money in order and slip it in my envelope. well to get this in order required me to pull the money from a few different places and because i'm ocd about the bills i had to make sure the larger ones were first and the $1 were last and then make sure they were all facing the same way. all the while i am doing this pretty low key, right in my lap and not drawing attention to myself at all. well, as i was finishing up and slipping it in to the envelope a guy come up to me and is like (and i'm paraphrasing here): " 'scuse me sir, can you help me? i need help, who do i need to talk to to get some help? i'm just hungry and i've been walking forever and my feet hurt and i need to clean myself up and get some rest." and so i quickly shove my money in my pocket and tell him oh yeah no problem i know exaclty the guy we need to have you talk to. that'd be the bishop, i can introduce you to him as soon as they are done doing announcements, and i stand up and walk with him to the door to the chapel, and he says that he can't really wait but that he just needs a little help, and i assure him that the announcements will be over soon, i point out the bishop and tell him if we get separeated that is the bishop and thats who we gotta have you talk to. so eventually the announcements got over, a tad longer than i had previously thought they would go, but nonetheless we make it to the front of the chapel where the bishop is with only minor traffic issues and not getting separated. i shake the bishop's hand and say bishop, this is my friend and he needs some help. the bishop starts off with well okay so what can i do for ya? and the guy says well i need some help i've been walking all day and i'm hungry and etc etc. well the bishop thought i meant that by friend i knew who he was, and at this point i still didnt even know his name. well the bishop was like okay well we have some food after our meetings, you're welcome to stay and join us. and the guy was like, oh no i can't stay you dont understand i have a problem right now and i can't wait. i need some help getting to the hostel and i dont have time cuz they will be filling up fast and i need a place to sleep. well the bishop was like okay well idk what to tell ya i cant give you any money but you're welcome to sleep here till dinner time in a couple hours. and at one point the bishop had mentioned to me, okay nathan why dont you introduce him to the missionaries? and so at this point i kinda started backing away cuz the guy sat down and looked like he might try and stay there and sleep. so the bishop vacated as well. when i finaly made my way to the door i saw that the patriarch found his way to the front and might be talking to the guy. so i find the missionaries, say hi to the greenie and tell them that i met a guy in the lobby who says he needs some help. and that i introduced him to the bishop but the bishop couldnt really do anything and that the guy probably just wants money but that they should talk to him anyways and see if they can help him out spiritually but not to be offended if he thinks that his physical needs need to be met first, like sleep and eating. so we make our way up to the guy and he's alone on the bench, i guess if the patriarch had talked to him that he was done now. and so i was like my friend i'd like to introduce you to the elders. and he's like oh i just need to face it none of you will help me. and so the elders were like well what can we do for you. and he's like i just need to get some money so i can take the train to the hostel and stay at the hostel for tonight and get myself cleaned up and sleep. and the missionaries were all well okay we'll see what we can do, and the guy was like oh i'm sick of all this red tape blah blah blah. and the elder was like, no red tape idk what ur talking about, i just need to see what i can do to help you. and the guy was all i'm hungry and i'm dietbetic and i just need somewhere to sleep and eat. and the elder was like oh i'm dietbetic too do you need anything? and he was like i'm all out of (fill in this blank with whatever pill he mentioned) and the elder was like, oh thats the oral pill? so type two? and the guy said ya. and so the elder was like, well i dont have any of that but i have a granola bar in my backpack if you'd like it. and the guy gladly accepted it and the elders said they'd go see what they could do and they'd be right back. so i sit down next to this guy. and i'm like okay so you're from new hampshire ya i've been up there oh man its gorgeous what brings you down here and he's like oh i came here for work, there is no work up in NH, and at this point one of the clerks sat down behind me and was like bro pederson told me to come here and make sure everything was okay. (meaning i'm going to stay here and keep an eye on things to make sure nothing bad happens) and so i continue talking to the guy. i tell him the elders will be right back, my name is nathan btw. and he tells me his name is Tom. and then he goes to start talking about how he isnt sure where he's going to get help from since it doesnt look like we can help him. and i almost said, ... well have you prayed about it yet? but i didnt. and then as the elders were walking up and begining to break the bad news to him i felt like i needed to say oh well if we cant help, i have a couch and shower and washer if you want to stay with me at church and eat after then we can head home and get you all cleaned up. but i didnt get the chance to say it because by the time i found the right words and the right way to say the words, the elders had said, well we were told we cant give handouts. and that we were told all we can do is offer you this bench to rest if you'd like and some dinner in a couple hours when its done. but tom didnt want to hear it. he was like well okay i guess i'll try somewhere else, i hope that i can find someone to give me something or else i am afraid of who i'll have to take it from and the elders mentioned there were a couple other churches around that he could try there, and tom said one last thing before the elders told him good luck and bye. Tom said, "oh you're all the same (refering to the church), you're all hypocrites"
and that just kind of stayed with me through the next couple of classes. in fact in my next class which was sunday school. i got in a little late, we were reading in third nephi about not turning away he that cometh unto you but inviting him in and praying with him. and in the lesson we talked about praying for those ppl we meet even the ones we dont know, or we dont even talk to. the lunch lady, the person sitting next to us on the train. a coworker etc. and then in elder's quorum John Sue-Ho taught us a lesson about when Joseph Smith got dragged out in the middle of the night and tarred and feathered and because of the cold one of his babies had died. and he also had talked about how the lord suffered all things for us, and why should we suffer when all we have to do is fall to our knees and pray.
SO, needless to say, i've been thinking about Tom a bit today. and i will for sure have a long talk with my Heavenly Father about him tonight. i didnt remember this scripture that is now stuck in my head till after Tom had left, because all i was doing at the time was trying to help a guy out, it wasnt till later that i remembered this scripture and realized that i was doing more than just helping a guy out. "And also, ye yourselves will succor those that stand in need of your succor; ye will administer of your substance unto him that standeth in need; and ye will not suffer that the beggar putteth up his petition to you in vain, and turn him out to perish."

Then came dinner. and i'm sorry that Tom missed out. i'm not exaclty sure what it was but it was some sort of cheese meet lasagna and noodle thing. idk it was pretty good i guess. and i say emallie and tried to shove her cupcake in her mouth :P . and i find out that the two girls that she was sitting with are planning on going to new york in the first part of december so i'm thinking SCORE! and then it was time to go home and rob was there and was like ok where's the car and i'm like oh yeah... bout that... its parked way far away. and so emallie offered to drive me to the car. and well so we got to walk to her car which was pretty far away in of itself and made it to rob's car and i drove it back to the church. and rob was all teasing me about walking with emallie and thinks that she's got the hots for me and i'm just laughing lol . uh. anyways . so we drive home and i get me started on this stupid printer and i eventually get it to work as u already know.
and currently i sit here in a slighty less messy room thinking about how i dont have much time left here and how i wanna at least squeeze in nyc and possibly like the church sites and stuff even if i have to miss out on dc.
I found out last night that the Fung Wah bus goes from boston to nyc for 15 bucks and that i can stay in a (i'd say nice looking) youth hostel for 33 bucks a night. today at church i found a couple of people that are planning already on going to nyc in the first part of december. so i think that we are planning on just going together. so that will be nice. but i'd like to go for more than a day and a half. hmm actually... ya know what....? it could be cheaper. now wait. hear me out ... no wait, hmm idk. maybe. okay no. idk. i was thinking that i could just take the fungwah back to boston and sleep in my own home since its only a 4 hour drive. like see what i mean? like idk. its more of a time thing, four hours is a long time to be saving three bucks. so idk what i shall do just yet. hmmm hummm i might go this weekend just to kinda test out the fungwah and see what i think of the hostel. like idk. leave late enough friday night that i dont need to sleep or early enough saturday that i get enough time to hit up times square and such like the liberty bell and the lady liberty and stuff. hmm.. okay . i think i could do that. yeah. lalalala. okay. i shall unless other plans come up.
hmm okay so i guess since my internet is being dumb and wont let me post i will write some more till it comes back.
auhh.
oh hometeaching! i'm excited cuz i got three appointments set up! so that just means that i need two more and my companion and i'll be all set.
so the next few days will have me reading and choosing the best topic to teach to them.
oh internet is back.

So today we Picked up rob's new car and i got to drive It all the way home from new hampshire ! That was so much fun i miss Driving so much! Ah . And then i dressed up as this random lame person from youtube named Nathaners you might've heard of him he's got 123 subscribers. Well anyways and the dance was Okay. Only one Short slow song. And i didn't end up dancing to It. But pretty much the whole dance i had My chinese friend Ed dance awkwardly next to me with me so i wasn't the Only one. Gah It made me miss Briston so much. The Hand jive without you there Briston just isn't the same. And so Anyways. I think tomorrow i might try and force myself out of bed earlier so i can start the blue line Which means the beach! So today was a pretty good day. Its starting to get cold here already. It seems like It is almost skipping over fall and startin right into winter. Uh No Institute Class tonight cuz i decided that tuesday and thursday mornings were enough and so i went to the mall instead cuz i was craving taco bell and didn't get a breakfast again this morning cuz i woke up late and was Ten minutes late for work. Hmm i put the sign on the bathroom door so i Guess Now that its official i really do have to Clean that disgusting Mold infested thing. Oh Well i'll make a vid out of It Or something. :) Yawn. Today was a pretty good day.

i was able to get up and make it to institute

and i made it to work

and i think mark is mad at me for no reason

and i had an okay day

and i got 2 max assurance today

and i went hometeaching and while i was on my way

i decided i had enough time to kill to try and walk to another station

i was wrong

but its okay it all worked out

and now i'm home and i'm just about finished with a little rant that i'm putting together

and i'm looking forward to all of this week.

tomorrow i might try and hit up the late night institute

but i'm making steak

and thursday is my morning institute

and my hometeachers are coming over

and friday i start/finish subway hopping

and saturday i begin cleaning the bathroom just whatever i can get done in a couple hours

and then more sub hoppin

possibly with a friend =]

and sunday is stake conference and Dario said he'd come

and then i have the rest of the day to read my scriptures

and to do laundry and maybe fit in some more chinese

which is really really hard

then monday i'm back to work again haha

uh i'm going to grab a quick late dinner... actually.. no

i'm not

sigh

i guess i'm just going to finish up this vid and get it on its way

then go to bed so i can wake up in time for a good breakfast instead.
